Mayor of Montego Bay and Chairman of the St. James Municipal Corporation, Councillor Homer Davis is congratulating Journalist and Businesswoman, Janet Silvera on her appointment as President of the Montego Bay Chamber and Industry.

“The St. James Municipal Corporation and the Montego Bay Chamber of Commerce and Industry have over many decades enjoyed a mutual beneficial relationship as both entities work towards the development of not just Montego Bay, but the parish of St. James. I am very confident that under Ms. Silvera’s leadership, this relationship will remain intact and may even get stronger, given the fact that outside of her business commitments, as a Journalist she has always supported the work of the Corporation”, Mayor Davis said.

He pointed out that as the President of the Montego Bay Chamber of Commerce, Ms. Silvera now assumes the role of being that body’s representative on the Mayor’s Advisory Committee and is looking forward to her contributions.
