Spirit Of Independence Awards Form 2023

The Spirit of Independence Awards seeks to identify and highlight persons for their outstanding contribution to the development of St James. The awards are also open to persons from the parish residing abroad.

Candidates  must be shown to have made exemplary contributions to community development in one of the following categories:-
 
                   National Security                      Commerce & Industry
                   Education                                  Journalism
                   Agriculture                                 Sports
                   Tourism                                     Arts & Culture
                   Health                                       Community Service
 
Members of the public are encouraged to submit their nominations early, and to also ensure that an up-to-date biographical note or resume is also submitted by Friday, July 14, 2023 in order for nominees to be considered.

Additionally, only Jamaicans are eligible, no self-nomination and no previous National Honours and Awards recipients will be accepted.
