Municipal Corporation Commences 2018 Series of Community Meetings in Lilliput

MONTEGO BAY, St. James (February 12, 2018): Residents of the Rose Hall Parochial Division will meet at the Lilliput Wesleyan Holiness Church in Lilliput, St. James on Sunday, February 18, 2018 for the commencement of the St. James Municipal Corporation’s 2018 series of Community Meetings.
 
The series is intended to facilitate public awareness and participation in the Corporation’s functions, responsibilities, and in general, foster better service delivery to its publics.
 
The meeting will commence at 2:30pm and is expected to provide a platform for persons to meet with various stakeholders from government and non-government organizations to discuss important issues affecting people and their communities.

Members of the public will have the opportunity to interact with Chairman of the St. James Municipal Corporation and Mayor of Montego Bay, Councillor Homer Davis, Councillor of the Rose Hall Division, Anthony Murray, representatives of the St. James Municipal Corporation, St. James Police, St. James Fire Department, National Water Commission (NWC), Jamaica Public Service Company (JPSCo.), the National Works Agency (NWA), the Social Development Commission (SDC) and other agencies.
 
Persons who reside in the division, which comprises communities such as Rhyne Park, Rosevale Estate, Greenwood, Rose Hall, Spot Valley, Palmyra, Barrett Town and Lilliput amongst other areas, are being invited to attend the meeting to voice their concerns and to interact with agency representatives.
