Records Clerk (PIDG/RIM 1) – (Vacant) - 3 posts, salary range $655,604 - $779,307 per annum and any allowance(s) attached to the post.

Qualifications: 

Minimum Required Qualification and Experience
 
Graduated from a Secondary Institution with four (4) subjects at the CXC or GCE ‘O’ Level including English Language and a numeric subject.
Certificate in Records Management would be an asset.

Responsibilities: 

Records Clerk (PIDG/RIM 1) – Administration 
Job Purpose     
 
Under the general direction of the Administrator (Office Management), the incumbent will be responsible for updating and monitoring records for Butchers, Barbers and Hairdressers as well as processing licenses for Places of Amusement.
Key Responsibilities
 
Processing of barbers, hairdressers, amusement and butchers license by;

Preparing and issuing the relevant forms to applicants;
Dispatching the forms to the Medical Officers (Health) for them to do the relevant inspections;
Upon return, preparing the licenses after approval is given at monthly meetings;
Updating each applicants file with new information regarding payments, change of locations and increase in fees.

Updating stocks such as stationery, furniture and cleanings agents and advise supervisor of re-order levels;
Issuing and recording of stationery to members of staff upon request;
Constantly update various databases/registers in respect to;

utility bills received from utility companies to ensure payments are made;
Barbers, Hairdressers and Butchers licenses applied for by the members of the public;

Prepare payment vouchers for utility bills (telephone, water and electricity) for each department and other cover order bills;
Operating the Norstar/Meridian Switchboard by receiving, placing and directing telephone calls in the absence of the Telephone Operator;
Maintains the Corporation’s inventory;
Processing of application for Private Home Burials as requested;
Processing of amusement licenses as requested;
Any other duties assigned by the Administrator (Office Management) from time to time.Required Knowledge, Skills and Competencies
